The Borough of Freedom is a community that values education and the rich opportunities in our schools reflect that commitment. In turn, the schools provide value to the community by fostering a well-educated population that confers social, cultural, and economic benefits for all generations.
The Borough is located in a school district, the Freedom Area School District, that offers a variety of programs and initiatives that support student achievement, wellness, service to others, personal enrichment, partnerships, and global awareness. In this way, the Borough is a partner in building a stronger community.
The Freedom Area School District has a long and rich tradition of academic excellence and producing well rounded individuals that are prepared for life's challenges. The District is located in the middle of Beaver County, Pennsylvania and encompasses the communities of the Borough of Conway, Borough of Freedom, and New Sewickley Township. Over 11,500 people live in the district.
The District offers 10 interscholastic sports for students to also excel in. They offer 8 for boys and 6 for girls.
The School District consists of three facilities including an elementary school (K-4), a middle school (5-8), and a high school (9-12). With the construction of the new elementary school, all three buildings are on the same campus.
